On behalf of the Asian Pacific Association of Echocardiography (AAE), I like to invite and welcome you to the 10th AAE annual Scientific meeting (Echo Asia) to be held on November 23-25th, 2023 in Seoul , Korea in conjunction with the 54th Scientific meeting of Korean Society of Echocardiography (KSE), coinciding with the 30th anniversary of KSE.
Asian Pacific part of the world has contributed tremendously to the development and investigations of Echocardiography, including first description of diastolic flow using mitral inflow velocity, diastolic function assessment at rest and with exercise, development of color flow imaging, establishment of normal Echocardiographic values in Asian population, and strain imaging to name few. Continuous innovations, new applications, and review of established use of Echocardiography will be discussed at this upcoming Echo Asia meeting 2023.
For this meeting, AAE faculty will be from Australia, Brunei, China, Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, UAE, and Vietnam. They will discuss topics specific to Asian population, with a comparison to Western population. In addition, there will be faculty from American , European, and other international Echo societies to share their echocardiographic innovations and practice. We will have a session where younger generation presents interesting cases to expert faculty to highlight unique diagnostic and management features of common or rare cases.
The Plenary session will be dedicated to Dr. Liv K. Hatle, the pioneer of Doppler Echocardiography, who recently passed away. Her contribution to Echocardiography and Cardiology will be remembered by faculty members who were mentored by her in Doppler Echocardiography.
Echo Asia 2023 by AAE along with the celebration of KSE 30th anniversary will be an exciting meeting not only for outstanding scientific presentations and discussion, but also for sharing friendship and creating many new international friends with a common interest/curiosity/passion in echocardiography to provide the best care possible to our patients using this amazing imaging-hemodynamic instrument.
We are looking forward to welcoming you this November in Seoul.
