Dear members of the Korean Society of Echocardiography
Dear all members of the Korean Society of Echocardiography,

Hello? I am Hae Ok Jung of Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, Catholic University of Korea, and I will lead the Korean Society of Echocardiography (KSE) as the Chairman of the Board for two years from January 2024. Our society, which held a grand celebration of its 30th anniversary in November 2023, has entered the stage of true maturity beyond the stage of growth. Over the past 30 years, our society has experienced significant growth and development in the following areas: The number of registered members, academic achievements, training of future generations, expansion of the application area of echocardiography, education of medical personnel, public service, and exchanges between international societies. I would like to take this opportunity to express my great respect and gratitude because all of these achievements could not have been made without the passion and hard work of our senior and junior members who have dedicated themselves to the Society. And over the next two years, I will do my best to inherit the proud tradition and continue its development.

Over the next two years, I would like to work together with the new directors to resolve some of the assignments and pending issues that our society has not yet resolved. First, we will do our best to train the next generation. We will solve various problems at hand so that they can work and study with pride as echocardiography experts both inside and outside the hospital. We will also strive to nurture competitive new researchers who will take on the future of our society by significantly increasing research funds and expanding support for presenting research results at international conferences in order to encourage their research motivation. Second, we will strengthen online education so that we can quickly and systematically deliver new and important medical information related to echocardiography to our members. In addition to further activating our successful webinar series, we will conduct various educational programs as a series through KSECHO TV, which is the society's official YouTube channel, to expand education of medical personnel and promotion to the public. Third, we will continue to maintain a close network with echocardiography societies in the United States, Europe, Japan, and the Asia-Pacific that have been successful for a long time, and open echocardiography training camps for medical staff in underdeveloped countries to raise our international status from a society that received help in the past to a society that provides assistance. Fourth, in order to become a world-class academic society, our society must take a leap forward along with internalization of its academic journal, JCVI (Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging). To this end, it is important for our journal to be registered in SCI and become an internationally recognized journal, so we will spare no effort in providing our best support. Finally, given our echocardiography treatment environment and reality, there are many pending issues that have remained unresolved over the past few years. Without avoiding them, I will find solutions one by one, and I believe that if the new board of directors and members help together, everything will work out well. Lastly, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Chairman Jong-Won Ha, Chairman Joo Hee Zo, and all former executives who have devoted themselves to the society over the past two years.

Dear members, I ask for your interest in our efforts for the KSE over the next two years and also ask for your active participation and support. Thank you.
